2. Information We Collect

LafzX does not collect personal information from users.

The application does not ask for or collect information such as:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your postal address
  • Your precise or approximate location
  • Your contacts
  • Your photos, videos, or personal files
  • Your financial or payment information
  • Your device advertising identifier
  • Your browsing history
  • Your passwords or account credentials
  • Your biometric information

LafzX does not require account registration, login, or cloud synchronisation.

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

To provide its features, LafzX may store limited application data locally on your Android device.

This local information may include:

  • Words added to favourites or saved lists
  • Recently viewed words and local history
  • Quiz scores or learning progress
  • Word-of-the-Day state
  • Onboarding completion status
  • Theme and display preferences
  • Other app settings selected by you

This information is used only to provide the application's local features. LafzX does not send this information to the developer or to an external server.

Removing the app, clearing its storage, or resetting the device may permanently delete locally stored favourites, history, progress, and settings.

4. App Permissions

LafzX is designed to work without dangerous Android permissions. It does not require access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, SMS messages, call logs, or personal media.

If a future version introduces a feature that requires an additional Android permission, the application will request that permission through the Android permission system and this Privacy Policy will be updated where necessary.

5. Internet and Network Access

The current version of LafzX is designed to operate fully offline and does not require an internet connection for its main dictionary, search, quiz, favourites, history, or locally available audio features.

The application does not use the Android INTERNET permission in the audited release.

Visiting this Privacy Policy through a web browser or downloading the app from Google Play may require internet access, but that access is provided by your browser, Google Play, or the operating system—not by LafzX itself.

6. Third-Party Services

LafzX does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, social-login, cloud-storage, or behavioural-profiling services.

When you download or update LafzX through Google Play, Google may process information under its own terms and privacy policies. This activity is controlled by Google Play and the Android operating system, not by LafzX.

When you use Android's Share function, the content you choose to share is passed to the application you select. The receiving application handles that information according to its own privacy practices.

7. Advertising, Analytics, and Tracking

LafzX does not include:

  • Advertisements
  • Advertising SDKs
  • Behavioural analytics
  • Tracking pixels
  • User-profiling systems
  • Cross-app tracking
  • Personalised advertising
  • Data-broker integrations

We do not sell, rent, license, or share personal information because the application does not collect personal information.

8. Android Backup and Device Transfer

Depending on your Android version, device manufacturer, Google account settings, and backup configuration, Android may back up or transfer certain application preferences or local data when you restore or move to another device.

Android backup and device-transfer processes are controlled by the Android operating system and your device or Google account settings. LafzX does not independently upload your local data to a developer server.

You can review or manage Android backup options through your device's system settings.

9. Children's Privacy

LafzX is an educational dictionary that may be useful to students, including younger learners. The application does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults.

LafzX does not require users to create an account, provide contact details, enable location access, or submit personal content.

Parents and guardians should supervise children's general device use and review the policies of Google Play, Android, and any applications used through Android's Share feature.

10. Data Security

LafzX minimises privacy risk by operating offline and avoiding the collection of personal information.

Local application data is protected by the security controls provided by Android and your device. However, no device or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You can improve the security of your local data by:

  • Using a secure screen lock
  • Keeping Android and Google Play Protect updated
  • Installing LafzX only from an authorised source
  • Avoiding modified or unofficial APK files
  • Protecting access to your Google account and device backups

11. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored app information remains on your device until it is removed through the application's available controls, Android settings, clearing app storage, uninstalling the application, or resetting the device.

Because LafzX does not maintain user accounts or developer-operated cloud storage, there is no remote LafzX account or server record to delete.

How to delete LafzX data

You can normally delete locally stored information by opening:

Android Settings → Apps → LafzX → Storage → Clear storage

You may also uninstall LafzX to remove its locally stored application data. Device backups may be handled separately by Android or your Google account settings.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when LafzX features, privacy practices, legal requirements, or distribution arrangements change.

When the policy is updated, the revised version will display a new “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

Significant privacy-related changes may also be communicated through the app, its Google Play listing, release notes, or another appropriate method.
